3 Non-Negotiable Daily Tasks for Realtors


Making yourself stand out from a sea of other realtors means doing things other realtors aren’t doing. They aren’t difficult, and they don’t take a lot of time. What you do have to do is put in the effort and make it a part of your daily routine.

In this episode of The Art of Agency, Jonathan and Mallory share three ways you can set yourself apart from other real estate agents. They’re non-negotiable if you want to be successful long-term. The good news is they only require a few minutes of your time and will help you be seen as a trusted professional.


  • You should be doing daily market research. If you do daily research, you’ll know more than 99% of the other agents in your market within 30 days. If you want to send an automatic email, that’s okay, but it shouldn’t be the only method of interacting with those properties. Instead, identify what properties your specific clients are looking for and consider sending them in a text or email directly from you.

  • Find a way to talk about real estate wherever you are. Prospecting doesn’t have to mean cold calling. Instead, pop over to your local coffee shop and talk about real estate with someone there. Or chat with someone in line at the supermarket about the real estate market. Get in touch with leads on your client database.

  • Master at least one social media platform. It’s free, and it’s a huge marketing opportunity. It shows people that you are a professional and know what you’re doing. Make it a point to post at minimum once a day.


Doing these three tasks every day will help set you up for a long, successful career in real estate.
